UPC Announces Key Judicial Appointments for Local and Central Divisions

The Unified Patent Court (UPC) has finalized the composition of its panels in the local divisions of Mannheim and Munich, while also revealing the judges for the central division in Milan.
- Munich Developments: Ulrike Voß has been appointed as the presiding judge of the second panel at the local division in Munich. She is (for now) the only UPC judge to hold two leadership roles, as she is also the presiding judge of the Munich central division. Joining her on the second panel is Daniel Voß. Both judges are from Düsseldorf. The first panel in Munich will continue to be led by presiding judge Matthias Zigann and Tobias Pichlmaier.
- Mannheim Developments: In Mannheim, Dirk Böttcher has been appointed as an additional judge. He also serves as the presiding judge of the cartel chamber at the Regional Court Mannheim.
- New judicial judges for Milan: The UPC also announced the judges for the central division in Milan, set to begin work on June 26, 2024. The three judges appointed are Andrea Postiglione (IT), Anna-Lena Klein (DE), and Marije Knijff (NL).
