Case Law of patent nullity proceedings; Decisions of the Federal Court of Justice in the years 1986-1993, Volume 4

Decisions in patent nullity proceedings are often needed by practitioners, but have not yet been published to the desired extent and can often only be obtained with difficulty by the courts. PA Dr. Thorsten Bausch of HOFFMANN EITLE has been tackling this problem for several years and publishes the nullity decisions of the Federal Court of Justice in book form.

The newly published volume 4 of this collection of decisions:

  • addresses the needs of practitioners and reprints all decisions of the Federal Court of Justice in patent nullity proceedings (including those already published elsewhere)contains over 50 judgments and numerous decisions of the Federal Court of Justice from the period 1986-1993 and thus closes the gap between the collection of Liedl and Bausch Volume I.
  • is clearly divided into subject areas and sorted by case number within the subject areas
  • each decision is preceded by a brief overview with key words, the essential legal norms and key legal principles of the decision
  • presents the entire decision in full text, including the operative part of the judgment and the decision on costs
  • makes it easier to find the judgments and text passages by means of several indices
  • makes the relevant case law of the Federal Court of Justice in nullity cases from 1986-1993 fully accessible and more transparent
  • contains a preface with statistical information and a commentary on particularly interesting decisions
  • improves the prior assessment of the chances of nullity proceedings and thus provides assistance for advice in practice.

The book comprises 660 pages and is available as a "book on demand" at a price of 100 euros (ISBN-13 978-3-8334-6824-7), but can also be obtained directly from the author by email (tbausch@hoffmanneitle.com).
