Order and simplification are the first steps towards mastery of a subject
Laura Graf, German and European patent attorney, is a member of our Chemistry practice group and has particular expertise in the fields of prosecution, opposition and appeal proceedings, patent drafting as well as FTO analyses. She works with our international clients in various fields including pharmaceuticals, polymer materials, electrochemistry and energy storage.
Before joining HOFFMANN EITLE as a trainee patent attorney in 2016, Laura studied chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, focusing on organic and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, and medicinal chemistry. Notably, she gained practical experience at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Novartis Pharma AG, where she worked in the field of amino-acid-peptide chemistry.
Early on, Laura developed the definite goal of becoming a patent attorney. This vocation allows her not only to apply the scientific knowledge she has acquired, but also to combine it with her passion, intellectual property.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending her time dancing, cooking and biking. Having grown up bi-lingual, Laura likes working in multiple languages, including German, English and Czech.
