Gregor König

Gregor König is a partner in the biotechnology group of HOFFMANN EITLE focussing on patent infringement and nullity proceedings before national courts and the UPC. In over 30 years of professional experience as a patent attorney, Mr König has represented numerous proceedings that have made legal history (including Olanzapine, Pemetrexed, Humira, Tadalafil and Factor VIII) and was involved in the first major pharmaceutical proceedings before the UPC. 

‘His speciality is to rethink arguments’ writes JUVE in an article about Gregor König entitled “A lateral thinker”. JUVE further states that he is ‘one of the most sought-after patent attorneys, regardless of the court’.

He advises industry and SMEs in complex national and international patent disputes, as well as in litigation avoidance and the strategic structuring of patent portfolios.

Gregor studied biology at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and the Université Paris Sud. He is a lecturer at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and a certified representative before the UPC (University of Maastricht). 

In his spare time, he runs the Children's Eye Cancer Foundation and spends time with family, friends and sport.
